Have you ever wanted to go on a Dark Sky event but felt put off because
of the walk length or big hills? Or wished you could take your kids, but
been unable to? Well, here's your chance to have a go.
We're very
excited about these experiences. Run in partnership with Alison - Adventures
for the Soul–a well-being and mindful coach - you're in for a real treat.
And the location couldn't be more perfect. Set in the middle of Dalby
Forest, it's been confirmed it's the darkest place in North York Moors.
High Dalby House even has its own observatory!
But
first, there'll be warming drinks and delicious hot food all prepared by us.
Afterwards, Alison will take you on a short, sensory night- time walk.
Why? Because it's fun! Walking at night is such an incredible thing to do
because it makes you feel amazing and enhances your experience. You'll
essentially see and hear so much more. Teens will love it too!
This
will be followed by our wonderful astronomer, Fred, who will point out a few
things in the night sky. You'll be able to look at celestial objects through
telescopes too. But if it's a cloudy evening he's got a few things lined up
indoors, so you'll still learn lots and be amazed.
At the end of this
experience, your feel-good factor will be ramped up too!
Obviously we
can't guarantee if we'll see stars or that we'll have good weather. During
or after extreme weather conditions, we reserve the right to change,
postpone or cancel the event. You'll find our cancellation terms here.
